DURHAM CRICKET TEAM UP WITH MSG

Durham Cricket has secured a new supply partnership with Mansfield Sports Group (MSG) to provide a range of elite coaching aids and cricket balls that will support its senior men’s, women’s squads and county age group pathway teams throughout the 2021 season.

Based in London, MSG is now the Official Equipment Supplier to Durham Cricket for the next four years and will supply the Durham Cricket coaches with several coaching aids, including the RoboArm for batting practice, which simulates bowling deliveries and with a wide range of cricket balls and training balls like the SpingBall that provides excessive turn and swing for batsmen to counter.

MSG has also committed to supporting Durham’s junior coaching pathway with its future stars also using MSG equipment throughout their indoor winter coaching programme and into the 2021 season.

Marcus North, Director of Cricket said: “MSG is one of the market leaders in cricket coaching equipment, it is fantastic to develop this partnership with the club and to ensure that our coaches and players can benefit from MSG equipment throughout the season.”

Richard Mansfield, Managing Director at Mansfield Sports Group, added: “Having the opportunity to partner with Durham is amazing. The club has so much tradition and history with the pedigree of amazing players like Sir Ian Botham, Paul Collingwood and Ben Stokes.

“The partnership with Durham, demonstrates the progression MSG is making in the cricket industry. We take enormous pride that our products are being used by majority of the county clubs and international teams with the best coaches and players around the world who are benefiting from using our portfolio of product.

We have really enjoyed working alongside the various departments from the professional club players and coaches, county age groups, cricket board and the commercial team. The partnership will allow the club and county age groups access to our entire portfolio of elite coaching equipment, match and training balls, bowling machines and equipment.

Both parties are passionate about supporting and engaging the cricket community in Durham. We are working hard to develop our business into a One Stop Shop for elite cricket with some new and innovative products and partnerships being introduced this season.
